As one of the biggest scientific and university centres in Poland, WrocÅ‚aw attracts investors with great location as well as extraordinary human resources – excellently educated potential employees who speak foreign languages. Another asset is a significant number of SSC/BPO companies, the proof that professional activity of this kind can be successfully exercised in WrocÅ‚aw.
The decision to create Ernst&Young centre was followed by many months of analysis conducted by the international team of counseling experts. Competition was fierce, as almost 50 cities from 15 countries were taken into consideration.
The centre in Wrocław is going to make a part of the global network made of similar centres working i.a. in China or India.
The future centre is yet another centre of state-of-the-art services in Poland based on IT, the most employing sector in recent years. This is proven by the projects completed by the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ) in three quarters of the year 2010 as well by the projects in progress. 9 out of 37 projects completed are BPO projects, 6 projects are R&D related (in the third quarter, 5 out of 8 projects were SSC/BPO projects). If BPO/SSC investors decide to implement all projects actively run by the PAIiIZ in Poland, the country can win over 6.700 workplaces.
As far as new jobs are concerned, IT is definitely the most efficient sector of the economy. WrocÅ‚aw is not the only city standing the chance of SSC/BPO projects; they’re implement in smaller towns as well.
