‘Tuition fees are no longer a barrier for students from Eastern Europe. From their point of view, a big advantage of private universities are well-established criteria and tuition fees, which usually don’t undergo major changes in the course of studies, contrary to those in their countries of origin’, says ‘Teraz WrocÅ‚aw’ project coordinator, Ałła Witkwicka-Dudek.
‘Paying for studies and place in halls of residence, foreign students expect good offer from the university: most often it’s education in English and comfortable lodging.’
The biggest number of students accepted this year will attend University of WrocÅ‚aw, WrocÅ‚aw University of Economics and two private universities: College of Management ‘Education’ in WrocÅ‚aw and WrocÅ‚aw School of Banking. Fewer will study at WrocÅ‚aw University of Technology, WrocÅ‚aw University of Environmental and Life Sciences and University of Lower Silesia.
Apart from meeting all formal criteria, main entrance requirements set by universities in Wrocław for foreigners were: good command of Polish, good results and average of marks upon completing secondary education.
